The IWPA 2024 Bursary
We’re pretty determined that cost shouldn’t be a barrier to people entering or coming to the awards, and we know how expensive it is to come to an event in London, whether you’re local or travelling within the UK or from afar. So thanks to our friends at BBC Sounds, Wondery and Amazon Music, the IWPA Bursary Fund is available once again in 2024 for tickets to attend both in person and via the livestream.
It’s open to anyone, anywhere that might benefit from complimentary entry or a ticket to either the in-person or live-streamed event at no cost. There’s just a short form to fill in – it’s this one for the in-person event and this one for livestream tickets.
All are welcome at the IWPAs and we love allies too, so we are always delighted to see the fund being used to support colleagues and connections that you admire or work with too.

The International Women’s Podcast Awards is set to make its return this year on Wednesday, June 19th 2024.
This event, now in its 4th year, will take place at the IET London: Savoy Place with an accompanying global livestream, bringing together podcasters, audio professionals, and podcast enthusiasts to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in podcasting.
The International Women’s Podcast Awards are proudly queer and trans inclusive, and recognise and honour the outstanding contributions made by a wide range of folks in the podcasting sector, from those who are self-taught and producing shows solo, to those part of larger teams at established audio companies. From thought-provoking discussions to engaging storytelling, podcasts have become an influential medium, and it is essential to acknowledge the incredible range of voices and talent involved in the creation of these productions, both behind the mic and behind the scenes.
This year’s event will showcase the remarkable work and creative excellence of podcasters across multiple categories. From educational and informative shows, to captivating storytelling, the International Women’s Podcast Awards will recognise the best in the business. A panel of judges consisting of podcasters, journalists and experienced professionals will evaluate the submitted entries and select the winners across multiple categories.

Those incredible moments you create
The joy of podcasting lies in its intimacy. In the atmosphere created between the host, guest and listener. In the moments of incredible sensitivity, humour or honesty that keep people engrossed. The International Women’s Podcast Awards celebrate these intimate moments of podcasting brilliance, and the women and non-binary folk that make them happen. We are unlike other awards. We don’t look at the genre your podcast is in, and we don’t care how many downloads you’ve had.
We are looking for your exceptional moments of audio brilliance. The ones that make you most proud of your podcast. The ones you’d chose to show off to others.
You don’t need to be a stand-up comedian to produce a moment of comedy gold, or a fiction writer to produce a moment of cliff-hanger drama (although if you are, you are also welcome!) – whether you’re a new podcaster or a seasoned pro, we’d love to hear your work.
